PREVIEW OF THE TERM – Autumn Term ’20

⭐️PREVIEW OF THE TERM – Autumn Term ’20⭐️

After a long and difficult 5 months off school for some year groups, we hope every child has settled into the new school year and they’re back enjoying school with their friends 😊

For us at PlaySport, we’re taking small steps back to full normality and we’re looking forward to a positive and productive term ahead. As much as we’re still restricted in some coaching delivery, that doesn’t mean we can’t get to work on our laptops and plan for the future and for life post Covid-19.

We’ve put together a little preview of the term to keep you, our brilliant parents, up to date.

We’re still buzzing from a really positive summer at Fox Hill for our Summer of Sport and even though our bodies are back in school delivering PE, that doesn’t mean we’ve not thought about our October Fun Weeks!

We’re hoping to confirm Fox Hill as our permanent venue in Bracknell soon and the second we receive confirmation, we’ll put up our 2020/2021 Fun Week dates online so you’re organised for the academic year ahead.

Regarding Windsor – Windsor Leisure Centre are still using their Sports Hall as a secondary gym area, meaning we have very minimal space to deliver our Fun Weeks, therefore we’re taking it week by week at the moment and will update further when we have more information.

New Fun Week venues – watch this space..😉

Our team have been back into our partner schools and we’ve been so happy to see lots of familiar faces who we’ve missed very much! We understand most children haven’t been able to access sporting opportunities over the last 5 months so it’s our pleasure to put some smiles on faces.

During this half-term, the sport in focus is Football and our coaches are following a syllabus focused on individual development – over the next few weeks, we’ll update all parents on what the children are doing in PE and how we’re achieving the learning outcomes.

Currently, we’re not able to deliver any After-School Clubs but we’re working in parallel with all schools to be patient and understanding of the restrictions. When the time is right, we’ll be able to deliver our After-School Programme again which takes us another step towards normality – we assure you that as soon as we do return, our primary focus is getting every child back into physical activity with lots of enjoyment being the number 1 outcome.

Following the ‘Rule of Six’ rule that has recently been imposed, this means that we’re still unable to deliver any Birthday Party packages. It’s such a shame that children can’t celebrate their birthday with their friends playing their favourite sport, but, we’ll still be here next year and beyond to make their next birthday bigger and better! 🎈

In case you’ve missed it, our Soccer School, in partnership with Finchampstead Football Club, starts this Sunday 20th September for Reception & Year 1 children ⚽️️

All information can be found via >> www.play-sport.co.uk/finchampsteadfc-soccer-school. Children of all abilities are more than welcome to attend and we’re sure they’ll have a great time with our team.

We’re not only providing Football sessions this term, we’ll also be announcing other sport specific sessions soon..

That’s it from us for the term, lots going on behind the scenes to take the next steps on our journey.

We hope you’ve enjoyed reading our update, as always, any questions can be asked via email (info@play-sport.co.uk) or phone (01344 508008).

Have a lovely weekend,
