⭐️OUR WEEK IN REVIEW – W/C 6th July 2020⭐️

Welcome to our third post in our new social series, ‘Our Week in Review‘.

As we finish the penultimate week of the school term, our Summer of Sport Fun Weeks are edging closer and closer! To say we’re excited for a full summer of sport is a somewhat understatement, the whole country is excited to go back to doing what they love and we’re certainly no different.

FUN WEEKS

This week, we’ve released our Covid-19 safety FAQs which can be found here. It’s really important for us to assure parents, children and families that we’re taking the guidelines and safety measures seriously and we will provide a safe facility for everyone on site. For some time, we’ve been hoping to receive the green light to operate during the summer period so providers like us need to ensure a safe provision is delivered so children can be active during the holidays.

Next week, we’ll be providing more information for our Summer of Sport which includes our weekly timetables and additional venue information for those parents and children who aren’t familiar with Fox Hill Primary School.

Hopefully by now, you would have also seen our #FreeDayFriday competition for the week, make sure you get involved to be in for a chance of winning some FREE DAYS!

SCHOOL SPORTS PARTNERSHIP

Unfortunately for the Year 6 pupils, PE with PlaySport is coming to an end as they finish primary school and look forward to developing their PE in secondary school from September. Our team are ensuring our lessons stay as enjoyable as possible with the restrictions we face so we can finish our relationship on a positive note.

Fox Hill Mr Sleet & Mr McBride have continued with Tennis this week to Fox Hill pupils and have seen a really positive progression. We’ve been focusing on maintaining consistent hand-eye co-ordination to have good contact with the ball.

In KS1, we’ve also been playing socially distanced Basketball games focusing on close control and being aware of available spaces.

Highlight of the Week – The Year 2/3 bubble was so good on Tuesday, Mr Sleet tweeted as soon as he got in the PlaySport van – it was a brilliant lesson and he didn’t want it to end!

St Michael’s EasthampsteadRounders continued to be the daily sport at St Michael’s Easthampstead with lots of individual progression on show. With KS1, they have been working on their accuracy of throwing whilst KS2 have been developing their match tactics!

Highlight of the Week – The leadership and direction shown from Year 6 pupils to help others with their development, a close team will produce good results!

Great Hollands – Yet another highly enjoyable week for Mr Howard. The children at Great Hollands have continued to be great to work with and it’s allowed Mr Howard to provide flowing sessions focusing on individual learning outcomes, this includes a variety of multi-sport activities to suit everyone.

Highlight of the Week – KS1 have been very receptive to new game ideas this week which shows positive learning and character.
