⭐️ – OUR WEEK IN REVIEW – W/C 22nd June 2020 – ⭐️
Welcome to our first post in our new social series, ‘Our Week in Review‘.
At the end of each week, our team will put together a little review of what we’ve been up to in the week, our team are always out and about teaching 100s of children in the local area so we feel it’s important to let you know what we’re doing.
We’ll also use this series as a way of reminding our lovely parents/carers of any updates we have within our programmes, so you’re always the first to know of any exciting news we may have for you and your child(ren).
Of course, it’s only right that we start with our Summer Fun Weeks! As you may have seen this week, registered childcare providers have been given the green light to provide childcare this summer and this includes us @ PlaySport. How we operate is going to be slightly different than before to ensure safety is of the upmost importance with our environment remaining the same, as well as being safe, it’s still going to be fun and inclusive for all!
We are hoping to deliver Fun Weeks in Bracknell & Windsor but the availability and safety of locations will determine this, we’ll try our best to provide information as early as possible so parents have sufficient time to prepare childcare for the summer.
SCHOOL SPORTS PARTNERSHIP
This week completes Week 2 of our return to Fox Hill Primary School. Mr Sleet & Mr McBride have both been in Fox Hill since our return and they’ve enjoyed every second! What we can deliver in PE has obviously changed but it’s allowed us to adapt and be creative with our delivery.
Mr Stow has been working with groups of children for the duration of this term at St Michael’s Easthampstead CofE and has received glowing praise from the school regarding his conduct, delivery and professionalism! ‘Miller has been an absolute god send at SMCOE over the last few weeks, everyone has said how helpful he has been and the children have loved having him in’ – well done Miller Stow!
Mr Howard has been delivering small group PE to children at Great Hollands Primary School, also for the duration of the term. PlaySport and Great Hollands has commended Jack for his quality of sessions in difficult circumstances and this has been highlighted on numerous occasions from the school staff. PlaySport are very lucky to have Miller Stow & Jack Howard and each school are very grateful for their work.
In terms of PE delivery, we are focusing on Tennis & Athletics at each school this term and are reminding all children about the importance of social distancing and not sharing equipment within PE.
During the lockdown period, our management team conducted a full review of our policies, delivery and management to ensure we continue to develop ourselves as a coaching provider. When normality does resume, we are excited for some additions which will develop children across all sports.
But for now, our focus is on ensuring we continue our work within our partner schools to the end of term and releasing theme and booking information for our Summer Fun Weeks.
We hope you’ve enjoyed reading our first update, as always, any questions can be asked via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (01344 508008).
