⭐️ – OUR WEEK IN REVIEW – W/C 13th July 2020 – ⭐️
Welcome to our W/C 13/07/2020 post in our social series, ‘Our Week in Review‘.
This week has seen another school year come to a close, with the coaching team wishing all of the children in our partner schools a wonderful summer and the Year 6 leavers all the best in their new secondary schools!
Our Summer of Sport Fun Weeks is now under a week away! The PlaySport team are working very hard behind the scenes on ensuring we provide a provision that the children in our care will absolutely love, whilst keeping in-line with Government Guidelines. We literally cannot wait!
This week, we’ve released our timetables which can be found here. Rest assured parents/carers, all activities that we are delivering will be completely compliant with all guidelines. However, we can assure you all, our creative and passionate coaching team will ensure all activities (although non-contact), will be highly active and FUN for all the children!
Next week, the fun well and truly starts with our Summer of Sport Fun Weeks, beginning next Thursday 23rd July.

SCHOOL SPORTS PARTNERSHIP
The final week of the academic year has come, and it’s certainly been a different feel to past years! With the large majority of children still learning from home, we sadly could only wish a wonderful summer to a handful of children.
The PlaySport team would like to take this opportunity to wish all the children across Berkshire a terrific and well-deserved summer holiday period and we cannot wait to welcome you back in September (unless you are coming to visit us in the summer of course!).
To all our Year 6 students, you deserve a separate mention…We are proud of every single one of you and as you prepare to start a new journey in your secondary schools, we wish you all the very best of luck and keep being YOU!
Fox Hill – Mr Sleet & Mr McBride’s final week at Fox Hill was one to remember, with mini-tennis competitions for the KS1 children and remaining ‘key worker’ children, which truly highlighted the progress made by the children this term!
We ensured the final Primary PE lesson for the Year 6 lesson was something to remember with an epic rounders competition, which remarkably went to sudden-death… the atmosphere, excitement and competition was superb and was a wonderful way to cap-off a terrific school year at Fox Hill.
Highlight of the Week – The annual Year 6 water-fight. An un-armed Mr McBride got soaked!!
St Michael’s Easthampstead – With Rounders being the main focus these last few weeks at St Michael’s, Mr Stow provided the children with end-of-year Rounders competitions, which proved a huge hit in our favourite purple school!
Highlight of the Week – Although it is always emotional saying goodbye to the Year 6 leavers, it does give us great pride to see the children move on to the next chapter in their lives!
Great Hollands – Mr Howard ended the school year at Great Hollands in style, with multi-sports competitions throughout the school. The children have been terrific with all of the changes going on in the world and have shown great character this term and were rewarded with a very competitive week. A great end, to another great year at Great Hollands.
Highlight of the Week – It’s a clean sweep for the Year 6’s across our school’s this week, the final session of the year with the Year 6 students was a wonderful way to cap-off their primary school PE journey!
This week has seen Rob meet the Headteachers and Senior Leadership Team at all of our partner schools. The feedback received from all schools has been absolutely terrific, so the PlaySport Directors would like to say a huge thank you to the staff for their incredible work, the children for making our job the very best and everyone associated with our partner schools for all of their support. We are incredibly grateful and strive to ensure next year is even better!
We cannot wait to continue our partnerships into the 2020/2021 academic year.
