Do PlaySport staff hold the appropriate qualifications?

All PlaySport staff possess a valid and up-to-date DBS certificate, first-aid training and safeguarding as a minimum. As a requirement, all coaches must also possess a Level 1 in Multi-Sports or a specific sport, we are committed to ensuring our staff regularly seek additional learning opportunities to further their personal development.

How do you collect my child at the end of the school day?

Upon arrival to the school, our team will prepare the activities offered for the afternoon before collecting each child from their classroom at the end of the school day.

Please ensure your child has been booked in online by 2.00pm to ensure our staff are expecting your child(ren) to be in attendance.

What should my child/children wear and bring?

Children can attend in their school uniform straight from their classroom. We do recommend trainers for any outdoor activity and allow children to wear PE/sports clothing if they want to change for sports activities.

Our timetable will show the activities offered on a particular day to help you plan what to pack.

What activities do you offer the children?

We aim to offer and provide a wide-range of activities throughout the week for children to enjoy at the end of the school day. Each location follows a weekly timetable which will include sports, arts n crafts and fun outdoor activities.

We provide a selection of nutritious snacks to all children attending at the end of the school day. As we are handling and serving food, we take food safety and hygiene very seriously at all of our locations, therefore, our team have all completed their Food Allergy Awareness & Food Safety & Hygiene Level 1.

Our snacks do include gluten free options should your child require, and we will provide alternative options if your child has any additional dietary requirements. However, it is advised that you contact our team prior to your child’s first session so we can ensure the provided snack is appropriate for your child(ren).

We provide water/squash and recommend all children bring a refillable bottle. We do not provide fizzy drinks.

My son thoroughly enjoys attending the after-school club’s at St Michael’s church of England School. The classes are very reasonably priced, and the booking system is very easy to us. I would highly recommend the PlaySport after-school clubs.
